This is the room where I had my D&C. The kids didn’t get to school that day because I would have missed my appointment and after the misoprostol failed the weekend before there was a concern for infection. They were playing in the waiting room while I was here.

I stared at where the center column meets the ceiling during the procedure. The pain was worse and longer than getting an IUD put in; that was surprising how much I could feel. I used breathing techniques I used when I gave birth to help relax to help it go faster.

I wish Josh had been there with me.
