This is a calendar page from my planner from my first miscarriage. The image that is shown was from Wednesday September 27, when I passed the pregnancy. It shows the contrast for what I had planned versus how life turned out. I ended up being in public and struggled to find a bathroom to use. It is of the cyan layer so it is hard to see the blood in the soaked pad, in the harvest jar, dripping off my hand, in the sink, and on the floor. It shows what the pared down idea of what having a miscarriage is. I ended up needing to go to the hospital due to the volume of hemorrhaging where a male nurse asked “You know you are supposed to bleed during a miscarriage, right?” This miscarriage really impacted how I went about my second one.
